The Mother’s Day Card that Gives Back

Bonsie is honored to partner with Welcome Baby., USA,. an organization that provides lower income families with newborn essentials at no cost. Sarah Steinhardt and Juliet Fuisz co-founded this organization to level the playing field for all moms and babies, particularly those who would struggle to provide the absolute necessities a baby needs in the month after birth.

Welcome Baby teamed up with Sally King McBride of The Letters Nest to create gorgeous Mother’s Day cards. Each card purchased, in the form of a $25 donation, provides a mother in need with enough diapers and wipes for a month. Their goal is to sell 500 cards to help 500 families.

“I was so honored to create this artwork for Welcome Baby, an organization whose work I’ve long admired. The card features my watercolor letters corresponding to their respective flowers (H for Hollyhock, A for Azalea, and so on), with a corresponding hand-painted border. By creating something unique and exclusive to Welcome Baby, I hope the card generates considerable support for their work—and delights many moms in the process.”

In addition to purchasing a Mother’s Day card, there are many ways you can support the mission at Welcome Baby, USA.

Follow them on Instagram @welcomebabyusa and consider making a donation on their website; a little bit truly goes a long way. $5 provides pacifiers to a family in need, $25 provides a full month of diapers and wipes for a newborn, and $160 provides a complete Welcome Baby Package. A Welcome Baby Package includes 220 diapers, a month’s supply of wipes, bottles, pacifiers, a baby carrier, swaddles, baby wash, clothing, and diaper creams. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
